Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches {A Great Take-In Meal}
One of the ways that we women show love for one another is with food. Let's be honest, food is the way to our hearts! There's nothing like a friend who brings dinner or dessert at the perfect time.
I like to have a few recipes that I have mastered, so when a friend is in need, I can bring some love in the form of a home cooked meal. This is one that never disappoints!
This recipe is super quick to prepare, and makes enough for 2 families (ie 12-14 servings)
Ingredients:
5 lb beef roast
2-3 Tb olive oil
kosher salt
pepper (freshly ground is best)
3 (1 oz) packages of dry onion soup mix
3 cans beef broth
cheese slices: mozzarella, provolone, or swiss
hearty or crusty rolls
Directions:
1. In a large frying pan, heat olive oil on high.
2. Rub the roast on all sides with kosher salt and pepper. Put in the pan and brown each side... just for a few minutes on each side.
3. Put roast in crock pot. Put dry soup on top of meat. Add beef broth.
4. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 6-8 hours.
Put a slice of cheese on the roll with the meat, and dip in the soup.
Serve with a salad.
Now, go spread some love with good food!
XO,
Nancy
